QUALIMAGIQ module for an advanced and fully automatic QA of CT images acquired with a TOMOTHERAPY® device
Connected to the QUALIMAGIQ platform, it takes only 2 mouse clicks for the TOMOT module to analyse the many DICOM images originating from the image quality control of the on-board tomographic imaging system on a TOMOTHERAPY® Device.
These automated analyses cover:
- Sensitometry;
- Slice thickness and sensitivity profile;
- Geometric distortions;
- Low level contrast;
- Spatial resolution: edge spread function (ESF) method;
- Noise;
- Signal Uniformity and homogeneity.
Specifications
Less than 10 minutes is all the time you need to perform the entire control: installation of the test object, image acquisition and analysis, editing of 6 different PDF analysis reports and a trend curve for each tested parameter.
Associated test objects: "Cheese phantom" from TOMOTHERAPY equipped with 2 special inserts OTP-TOMOT-SR & OTP-TOMOT-ST, specially developed by QUALIFORMED.

FAQ
IS IT ESSENTIAL TO PERFECTLY ALIGN THE CHEESE PHANTOM IN THE TOMOTHERAPY® INSTALLATION BEFORE MAKING the ACQUISITION?
No for 2 reasons:
1- QUALIMAGIQ automatically detects phantom edges and its orientation before extracting the signal in the different inserts. Therefore QUALIMAGIQ compensates for any possible transversal (Up/Down and/or Left/Right) misalignment.
2- The longitudinal alignment of the phantom is also not essential because with one click in the QUALIMAGIQ welcome screen you can redefine the 0 slice location of the complete set of images.
But align correctly the cheese phantom on the laser positioning system allows to measure the alignment of the laser lines.
